Welcome to the website for the Denver East-DCIS Conference!

The Denver East High School and Denver Center for International Studies Model United Nations teams have collaborated to host a Model United Nations conference for all high schools who wish to part take.

Denver East High School is our venue because it securely accommodates the expected turn out of our conference as well as provides a great environment for competitors! It is located in the center of Denver, Colorado across from City Park.

This invitation is open to any team in Colorado as well as teams from the surrounding states. All teams need to have a school-approved chaperone/ sponsor and their own accommodations.

Parking:

Limited street parking is available on the esplanade in front of the school, the main parking lot is across the street from the school connected to the football field.

A variety of food options are located on Colfax Ave. in both directions. They include but are not limited to:

SCHEDULE

8:30 AM- Check in begins, breakfast available

9:00 AM- Opening ceremony in auditorium

9:30 AM- Session of council begins

12:00 PM- Council breaks for lunch

1:00 PM- Council resumes

3:00 PM- Session of council concludes

3:15 PM- Closing ceremony & awards

4:00 PM- Conference concludes

April 5th, 2019- Registration closes

April 8th, 2019- Background guides are released

April 8th, 2019- Country Assignments are released

April 12th, 2019- Last day to drop delegations without fine

April 19th, 2019- Position papers due to council director
